Two-day’s workshop on“Use of E-resources for Teaching and Research& Train the Trainer Program for librarians” of VTU affiliated college librarians of Mysore region was held at Shri DharmasthalaManjunatheshwara Institute of Technology, Ujire in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi on 9th and 10th June 2017.Sri D. Harshendra Kumar, Secretary SDM Educational society, Ujirewas the chief guestof the event. He inaugurated the workshop and advised the participants to utilise this opportunity to update oneself with the optimum usage of E-resources through VTU Consortium. The convener of the workshop Dr.Rajatha, Librarian, SDMIT, welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. V. Konnur, Director, Prasaranga, VTU, Belagavi as well as Adviser, VTU consortium enlightened the gathering about aim and objectives of VTU consortium and the purpose of conduction of this workshop in his keynote address. Dr. K. Suresh, Principal, SDMIT, Ujire presided over the function and in his presidential remarks he wholeheartedly appreciated VTU for developing an information rich society through its consortium and facilitating end users through access of online resources with minimum investment.
