Dr.Rajkiran Ballal acquired his Ph.D degree from VTU Belgaum during June 2010. He was graduated from K.R.E.C Surathkal, presently known as NITK Surathkal during June 1984 and post graduated PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 1992. He selected teaching profession by choice and has a vast experience of 26 years in teaching & 6 years in research. He has visited many reputed National & International Universities.
He was serving at NMAMIT Nitte since 1985 various capacities as Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer. Co-coordinated National Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering ( NCAEE-2006,ISTE sponsored STTP on Rescent Trends On Power Electronic Circuits and VTU workshop on Application of MATLAB to Electrical Engineering .
His field of interests are Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Non Conventional Energy sources. Power supply design etc.
As an academician so far he has guided more than 30 UG students project and more than 10 PG students projects, and awarded as the Best project guide for 4 times.
Prof. Rajkiran Ballal is a recipient of Best paper presentation award in the National Conference held at PEPEM-05, held at TIET Patiala, Punjab. He has presented 4 National & 2 International Papers. Also has one Internationa journal publication to his credit.
He is the life member of Indian society for Technical Education.
